Recently, our datacenters in France tried to upgrade their bandwidth/links from their carriers to the datacenters, which resulted in massive failure. They were under prepared, a bad fiber line was made apparent in the new lines, and issues just rose within the hours they were performing maintenance.
Unfortunately, we were not made aware of this maintenance until we checked our datacenter’s status website, which listed several outages, as well as instability.
The upgrades that were taking place were 100Gbit line replacements for 10Gbit lines. This was being done in an effort to increase the maximum throughput between the datacenters and to the Internet.
At this time, we are not aware of any further maintenance that may occur from this, but we will try to keep you all updated as we’re updated.
